The Little Red Hen
201 Enjoyed a reading of the Little Red Hen. After reading the storychildren are able to work in small groups acting out varouse roles in this story .The reason we chose this story is because we are exploring Folk tales.
- While reading the story, I included the children and asked them various questions about the book that they were eager to answer such as What do they see when they look at the pictures in the book? , What animals do they see? What noises do they make? And What else could the Little Red Hen bake with the flour? As a result of this experience children had the opportunity and the example re act the story.
- We also sang a song that the children really enjoyed and here is how it goes:
are you listening x2
for the pig
This is how the pig sounds x2
oink oink oink
are you listening x2
for the cat
This is how the Cat sounds x2
